We enjoy the service aspects of the SCA, especially when we can connect with people. Sitting hospitality at Pennsic or even registration is enjoyable because of the ability to make those connections. Being around people and welcoming people, sharing our experience, and teaching people is rewarding and inspiring. Despite being in the SCA for more than three decades, we continue to find new things to learn and inspiration in unexpected places. We also enjoy cooking. Rosemund enjoys illumination and Bronwyn focuses on fiber arts.

To Our Beloved Barony:
Thank you for a wonderful event yesterday. So many people put their heart & soul into the day and worked tirelessly to make it a sucessful, special time for everyone who attended.
It was a little toastier than expected, but the weather cooperated well. The site was beautiful and thanks to the staff, if there were any glitches on the day of the event, We never saw them- they must have been expertly handled.
Mathilda and her reservations/tollner staff were so pleasant and welcoming, which was a joy to see.
Peter Meagher and his cullinary staff did an amazing job at creating not one, but TWO delicious meals- you all are a dream team in the kitchen!
Peri Nelson-Sukert, thank you again for being at the event, despite personal challenges this weekend. You’re a dear to help Us out!
Sir Callidus, Hiro, Sir Athos, Torbjorn, Siobhan, Madison, Sig and Chebe, thanks to all of your experience and organization, the day’s tournaments went off without a hitch. Eveyone had a great time, from what We’ve heard.
Aaron le Nouvel, We appreciate the time and energy you put into creating a successful silent auction. You made a positive impression on the populace, and compliments were made to Us, regarding your demeanor. Your efforts were noticed!
Coinneach, thank you for organizing the A&S display and for your enthusiasm for the Arts. So many beautiful items showcased the many talents of Our kingdom.
Gwen Cooke, how do We begin to thank you- from advice, to Senechal duties, to becoming an on-the-spot retainer and personally creating a large portion of the Baronial award scrolls that went out at the event- is there nothing you can’t do? We love you immensely!
Venezia, You make behind the scenes work look effortless, even though We know it’s not. Your attention to detail is staggering and if We listed everything you did for Us this weekend it would double the length of this missive. Duties as deputy Senechal, deputy event steward and Royalty Liason were time consuming enough, but not the only things you did that day. You are a force of nature, and We love you!
Daniel, this weekend was a huge undertaking, with so many moving parts. You assembled a well seasoned team who each did their part to ensure that the event was a success. You personally devoted an enormous amount of time and effort, along with your lovely wife, Mary, to provide a memorable experience that everyone enjoyed. Many thanks!
Nez & Andriú, You’re a hard act to follow- We appreciate every moment of advice, laughter, friendship & encouragement. You’ve handed off a barony that is thriving and vibrant. Are we still doing coffee?
To TRM Oliver & Grainne, Thank You for Your support and confidence in us, as well as for being good sports regarding our shenanigans. We will endeavor to live up to Your expectations will try not to injure any of our populace with incoming chocolate.
Finally, to our families, specifically Sir Athos and Phil Ross, who have been hugely supportive, because no matter what, we don’t go into this alone. We love you! Buckle up, it’s going to be like Mr Toad’s Wild Ride!

Our Vision:
We have both been in the SCA for some time and have done this role in the past. We would like to bring our experience forward, bring back some older traditions, but incorporate the inclusivity and joy that the SCA has today. We hope to include “older” members of the Barony by reaching out and having our artisans bring their skills back to teach and guide our newer members.
Additionally, because we are not both living in the same household, we feel that will give us more ability to “divide and conquer” (do more things in the same amount of time since we have two households that will be supporting us through this). We look forward to working with the officers to promote and support what they do as well. Mostly, we’d like to make sure people are having fun and feeling included.
